Understanding CHROSNOF
Step 1|Why does the same skincare produce different results?
Takeshi Matsushita
January 2025
Using the same skincare, every day, at the same price point. And yet — a gap appears after ten years.
This happens often. Most people think: maybe my effort was not enough.
That is not it. The amount of effort is not the issue.
The starting point of aging differs by person
Skin aging does not progress in the same sequence for everyone. For some people, "oxidation" (damage from UV rays and reactive oxygen species) begins first. For others, "glycation" (the influence of diet and blood sugar) advances first. For others still, the skin barrier breaks down first.
This difference in starting point creates the gap in how well care works.
Using glycation care for an oxidation-type person, or only antioxidant care for a glycation-type person — the direction is misaligned, so results are hard to achieve. This is the real reason the same care produces different results.
Have you ever confirmed whether your care is pointed in the right direction?
People who are diligent about their skincare every day may be the least likely to have asked this question.
Consistency matters. But if the direction is wrong, the more consistent you are, the more you lose.
In the next article, we discuss what your aging pattern is — more specifically.
